Mar. 31 Pigs To The Rescue; The traditional St. Bernard mountain-rescue dog with a brandy barrel around its neck has a rival. Circus owner Michael Hirst from Wilshire has trained a groupe of pigs to perform rescue duties, including climbing and sliding down slippery slopes. Pigs are obstinate animals and difficult to train, but Heide here is able to walk obediently on leach and follow her karb drill.
