Apr. 16 Natural enemies have become close friends: A cat and a bird being close friends is something quite unusual. But for these two (picture) is has become reality. The son gull was found on the beach with broken wing and was taken home by Mrs. Diane Northwood of Rushden, England. There she kept it well away from her cat until one day she found the two of them sitting together quite happily. It appears that the cat knows the bird is injured and has afforded it protection.
