Mar. 02 Maren introduces baby Rasmus newest addition to the Copenhagen zoo.: A baby has just been born to Maren hippo inmate of the Copenhagen Zoo. This is her 13th. baby in 13years - and the father is 43 year old August the oldest hippo-father in captivity in the world. He was caught in Africa in 1911. Although Rasmus looks cute and tiny now - hew will no doubt grow to be as big - fat and ugly as his illustrious parents. Photo shows Maren with her offspring Rasmus when seen by the public for the first time at the Copenhagen Zoo
