Animals - Aquariums - Archeology - Insects - Fossils - Zoos

Mar. 02 Orangutan twins still in hospital Still in hospital are the orangutan twins of the Munich zoo Hellabrunn. Until now they have been brought up in the incubator and are still under the observation of a Hellabrunn animal ward. In the meantime, they now weigh three times as much as when they were born. In spite of the painful time when their teeth are coming through the twins, male (left) and female (right), are obviously feeling quite happy. Only when the orangutans are strong enough to endure the somewhat rougher climate at Hellabrunn, will they return to their home where they will be christened
