Mar. 02 THREATENED WITH EXTYNCTION NEW REGULATIONS MAY YET SAVE THE VICUNA IN THE ANDES: Those pictures just received show the Vicuna in the natural habitat. It is rare for this shy animal to allow a cameraman to approach close enough for good photography. The Vicuna, a rare South American relative of the camel and the llama, is threatened with extinction and the Government ban, announced this week, on the import of Vicuna hair and skin, is the result of a campaign by the World Wide Life Fund who say there are fewer than 10, 000 Vicunas in existence. Vicuna in recent years has become popular as a sign of male as well as female opulence in coats
