Mar. 31 Making It Crystal Clear: No, Prince is not an exceptionally large dog. It simply seems so because Crystal is an exceptionally small horse! Crystal is a Shetland pony, in fact; a recent arrival at the Blue Meadow Stud, near Windsor in New South Wales, Australia. She stands only 18 inches tall - and she's grown two of those inches since she was born a week ago. The Shetlands may be tiny, but they are not the weeklings some people might think. Full-grown, they can pull a 20001b load or carry a 16 stone man with ease. They certainly breed em tough down under. Mother and daughter stroll around the grounds of the Windsor estate
