1960 - I'm a Clever Lad Says Corky - The Talking Corgi. The regulars at the Spotted Cow Public House, Drighlington, near Leeds, are used to hearing Corky, the talking Corgi dog. Mr. Bernard Bucknall, who always greeted him with Good Morning, was simply shattered to hear Corky say it right back. since then Corky has learned a number of other phrases such as He's gone, and some which are not printable. The Dog is owned by Mr. May Dunsworth, and Mr. Bucknell has appointed himself Corky's tender. Keystone Photo Shows: Corky and his coach - Mr. Bernard Bucknall - at the Spotted Cow
