Mar. 31 The elephant agreed when asked to test, together with a nice young lady, in the Hamburg Zoo Hagenback, a novel enormously resistant floor covering. It proved, however, that the weighty elephant lady Kiri, with almost 60 cwt. did not exert more pressure on the floor covering than the mannequin Gisela with her pencil-heels and just 50 kilo. The novel Ruboplastic-PVC-carpet was, in any case not to impress. OPS: The two ladies, Kiri and Gisela, at the proof which did not leave any print on the new material. Keystone Hamburg, 14-3-62
