Animals - Aquariums - Archeology - Insects - Fossils - Zoos

1960 - Clap -Cap in the net: The crew of the fishing boat Schutting (Schutting) were rather astonished when - between Iceland and Greenland - they caught an about 3 year old and 185 cm long giant seal, a so -called (Klappmutze). They immediately returned to Germany to bring back this very rare capture. The seal is now in the Municipal Animal Caves in Bremerhaven, and it is only the second one to live in a zoological garden
