Mar. 03, 1962 - Kilmore wins the Grand National: Kilmore, aged 12, became the Grand National's Oldest winner since 1923 today at Aintree. Second was Wyndburgh and third was Mr. What, also both 12-year-olds. The winner was ridden by Fred Winter, 35. Photo shows Kilmore, the winner, (No.15), takes the last fence, followed by, left to right: Mr. What (who came second); Gay Navaree (fourth); and Wyndburgh (third)
