Historic House Moved: A 14th. cent. old half timbered house in Exeter, Devon, has had to be moved 300 feet because it was in the middle of a new roadway which is being crating the building and today it was up a slope with a 1 in 10 gradient. One of the dangers was that the three story building would topple over and great care had to be taken, hydraulic jacks were used to keep it level. The move taken because of the protests when it was suggested that the building should be demolished, is costing about £8, 000. It would cost about £15, 000 to copy the Building. Tudor house is moved down exeter street. A mouse pops out of house timbers to see what is going on
