Jan. 01, 1962 - IQ Tests For Young Chimps: Intelligence tests were this morning given to three young Chimpanzees at the London Zoo. In of the tests, the apes had to control a ball down a series of slopes by pressing buttons in the correct sequence. Success was rewarded by the Automatic delivery of a grape. Photo Shows One of the chimps concentrates on the test while a photographer (wearing a face mask to prevent spreading of cold germs to which chimps are extremely susceptible) gets in close, Right Success and the ape jumps happily while waiting for his reward
