Jun. 06, 1961 - Man Keeps Lion In Garden: 38-year-old mother of four, Mrs. Betty Foyle, of Workford, Essex, has become estranged from her husband. Bill, because of his refusal to remove a lioness, which he bought a year ago as a pet, from the garden of their home - where the lioness, Leonora, is kept in a concrete and iron bar cage. Bill Foyle, salughtman and horse dealer, when the finishes his work in the Stable yard - goes to his sister;s home at Billericay to spend the night, leaving Mrs. Foyle with her Children, Tony, 15, Tin, 11, Paul, 3, and Ann, 3-monts. Mrs. Foyle said: I have obtained a separation order against may husband. But I have begged him to take the lioness away and come back to us'.
