Nov. 11, 1963 - THE CHIMP THAT ROCKED THE COURT. The North London Magistrates court was quiet, the jailer announced the next case - Number Five Henry Corke - and in walked a man carrying a chimpanzee dressed in green trousers, black and white check jacket red plastic raincoat and a red white and blue knitted cap. The magistrate looked over his glasses and said which ones is Mr. Corke, at which the biggest round of laughter heard in the court formany years. The chimp's master was appearing on a charge of using insulting words and behaviour after the chimp Linda was alleged to have bitten a policeman in the Holloway road. Mr. Corke took Linda to court with him because he didn't care to leave her with anyone else. Photo shows. Mr. Corke and Linda yesterday
