Dec. 12, 1963 - The Death Of A baby Seal: Yesterday death came from the skies to the seal colony on staple Island in the Ferne Islands off Northumberland. When two men carried by helicopter from the Ministry of Agriculture, who have given orders to reduce the population of grey seals which now stands at boat 4, 000. The order was issued after fisherman had complained that the seals were about 8, 000 tons of fish, mainly salmon, every year. Mrs. Grace Hicking of the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruley to Animals went with the man to ensure that none of the deals suffered 145 seals, all female pups abounded by their parents, were killed yesterday.
