Apr. 25, 1963 - For the first time.: Put in possession of zoological garden is this Mexican turtle. The carnivorous cross-breast-turtle were brought to Germany last year in the luggage of the Stuttgart gardener Peter Haussmann. Haussmann, an enthusiastic collector of turtles, made a study-trip to North-America and he availed himself of the opportunity for a trip to Mexico. After tedious discussions the Red Indians caught 9 of these seldom turtles. Two of these animals were given to the Berlin zoological garden and two further will sent to Vienna. The rest of five cross-breast-turtles the gardener Haussmann, who is the owner of more than 100 seldom turtles, wants to keep to himself
