Animals - Aquariums - Archeology - Insects - Fossils - Zoos

Aug. 08, 1964 - The LOcust enemy of Agriculture is put to flight; Modern science is turning reason upside down to defeat the Locust the creature which has plagued man since the dawn of time. The war against the erop eating insect is being waged from the heart of London the Anti-locust Research Center in Kensington. The scientists are breeding the locust at the rate of a million a year - though their aim is to slash its numbers. The war against the locust began only 48 years ago - before which the creature had everything its own way - swarms had devoured acres and acres of vegetation in the matter of seconds. Now the center has to breed them to find sufficient numbers to continue its battle against the scourge of the earth
