May 05, 1964 - The Tale of A Lion - With Two Lives.. Pascha the lion was recovering after dying - for seventy five minutes. The two year old lion's heart stopped beating on the operating table at Cambridge University School of Veterinary Medicine. Surgeon Mr. Robert Walker said we opened up his chest and massaged the heart. Then we gave him electrical treatment and injected adrenalin stimulant to the heart'. He said Things were very dicey but at last he came round'. Pascha - the Chipperfield Circus had the operation to remove a thick ball of fibre obstructing his stomach
