Mar. 09, 1965 - Goldie the Fly-away Eagle attacks again swoops on another duck in Regent's Park: Goldie, the Golden Eagle which escaped from the London Zoo on Feb. 28th and so far has managed to elude his captors, struck again in Regent's Park today. He dropped like a stone from his tree-top perch above the park's duckpond and landed on the back of a white snow goose. The bird was dragged up on to the back and at that vital moment a shout went up from the crowd - Goldie released his prey and flew back to his tree top perch. Photo shows the moment when Goldie dragged his victim on to the bank ready for the kill - but he was scared away by the shouts from the crowd, and flew back to his perch in the tree in Regent's Park
