1964 - Cleo Gives Birth to Seventeen Puppies.. Mrs. Tony Britton Looks After the Broods. Cleo the Afghan Hound owned by Mrs. Tony Britton wife of the actor - last night gave birth to seventeen puppies - thirteen of which have survived. As the puppies are much too much for Cleo to attend to - Mrs. Britton now has the task of feeding them with the aid of a fountain pen filler.
