Dec. 17, 1965 - Kitten Found In Letter Box. A tiny tabby kitten was found yesterday sitting dejectedly among a pile of mail in a letterbox. The kitten had been squeezed through the letter slot at the Canine Defence League Headquarters in London. Around the kitten's neck was a label with a 10s. note attached, Said the message on the label: Will you please find this kitten a good home for Christmas? We are not allowed to keep in my fist. God bless you Canine Defence. And alongside the money was written: Please accept this 10/- towards its keep. The kitten, named Holly by the staff of the League headquarters in Seymour-street, was found by the league's secretary, Lieutenant-Colonel Alexander Roosmale Cocq. Today Holly will be taken to the League's dog hospital in Brighton to await an offer of a good home. Photo Shows:- Yesterday's picture of Holly - the kitten found in a letterbox
