May 31, 1967 - Rehearsal For Chimpanzee's Tea Party At The Zoo: A rehearsals was held today for the famous Chimpanzee Tea Party at the London Zoo. The party scientist or three girls and a boy 6-year old Wynnie, 4-year-okld Tina 4-year-old Jane and 5-year-old Rastus'. This was last time that Head keeper William (Bill) Pockett conducted the rehearsals, for how retires on 30th of June after 43 years service at the Zoo. When the weather is fine, the Chimps Tea party will take places on week days and Sundays at 4 p.m. On the Tea Party Lawn, from tomorrow, 1st June. When it is too cold or wet for the young chimpanzee to be taken out of doors, however, the party will take placer at the same time in the Chimps Den in the Children's zoo.Photo Shows It looks as though more milk from the teapots being poured over Rastus than in the mug - an amusing incident during today's rehearsals at the London Zoo
