Jun. 06, 1967 - Achmad The Camel Proves a Popular Resident at the Tilly Whim Inn in Dorset: Achmad, A Bastrian camel from Tibet, is the latest arrival at the Tilly Whim Inn at Swanage, Dorset, and is already proving a popular resident. He is always prepared to help with the heavy work, endlessly willing to give rides to children, and overjoyed by the simple accommodation provided for him in the backyard. But there are disadvantages about Achmad. For although he works only for his keep, his keep comes pretty costly quite apart from the £500 it cost Mrs. Ruth Burridge, who runs the Inn, to buy him. She has also had to re-stok her garden with plastic flowers, because Achmad loves to devour real flowers. Photo shows Mrs. Burridge climbs aboard Achmad to go for a little pleasure trip
