Jan. 01, 1968 - Eagles from Manila have lessons in hunting; Two rare eagles from the Philippines have been sent to School at Weston Park, Shifnal, Salop, home of hte Karl of Bradford. The bird owned by Mrs. J. Lalos, a game warden in Manila, are being trained by the Earl's Falconer, Mr. Allan Oswald, to hunt from the wrist. Mr. Oswald believes that he is undertaking the first attempt in Britain to train such birds for hunting. I will not be handling these birds very differently from others trained for Falconry, he said. The first step will be to get them to eat out of the hand, and then to keep them on the glove. Mr.s Lalce, who is to return to Britain in September, intends to use t he birds for catching rabbits. Photo Shows Mr. Allan Oswald and his wife, Ann, holding the eagles they are training at the Weston Falconry School
