Feb. 02, 1965 - Golden eagle escapes from the London Zoo recapture attempts fail.: An attempt to recapture a Golden Eagle which escaped from the London Zoo yesterday were renewed again today. The 7-year-old male eagle Goldie escaped as his keeper opened the door of his cage, and several attempts to recapture him failed. Today he was spotted perched on the top of a tree on the outer circle of Regent's Park. Photo shows one of the onlookers uses a telescope to get a better view of the eagle perched on the top of the tree today
