Jan. 01, 1969 - World Record for litter survival? sow has 20 Piglets: Well Pritton Catalin 14th, a Landrake/white cross sow has just had 20 piglets in her litter, all of which have lived. Her owner, farmer James Townsend, of Well Priton farm, Holne in Devon, claims this is a world record for litter survival. The litter, fourteen days old, are being fed by the sow in two shifts, turn and turn about. The boar's name is Ercs. Photo shows Well Pritton Catalina 14th - and some of her litter
