Animals - Aquariums - Archeology - Insects - Fossils - Zoos

Nov. 08, 1968 - Mother refuses her child: This gruel thing happened some days ago in the Frankfurt zoo, where this little orang-utan-baby was born. Its mother, 12-year old orang-utan-female lady, was not willing to let the new born drink. The little one, birth-weight three pounds, was therefore given to a nurse, the keeper Doris Podolozak. The little orang-utan obviously does not miss its real mother and seems to be quite happy with his nurse
