Jun. 05, 1969 - New arrival at the London Zoo: A new arrival at the London Zoo is Miguel a male Guanaco calf, born on 29th, May, and on view for the first time today. He is 3 foot tall (to the top of his head) and lives with his parents Chica and Manuel in the Camel House at the Zoo, on the Cotton Terraces. Guanacas are the wild species of the Llama and are native to South America.
