Jun. 11, 1969 - New arrival at Windsor Safari Park: The first of a number of elephants which have been purchased for Windsor Safari Park, arrived at London Airport at 4 a.m. this morning, and by 11 am. it was having its first appearance in front of the public - 80 schoolchildren from tEmbrook infants school, Wokingham, in fact. The elephant, two years old, and weighing 1200 lbs, and five feet tall, comes from Calcutta, India. Photo shows Schoolchildren find it a long stretch to give the elephant a tit bit today
