Mar. 03, 1967 - Bimbo the Monkey is captured - after 204 days.; Bimbo, the freedom-loving monkey was captured last night after 204 day on the run in a BOAC warehouse at London's Heathrow Airport. The chase ended when Bimbo was trapped in a ventilator shaft. She was taken in a net to the K.S.P.C.A. hostel at the airport, where she was given a meal of fruit, bread and milk, grain and vitamin syrup. Ever since Bimbo escaped from a cargo of monkeys she has defied traps. bait, tape recordings and other tricks designed to lure her down from the rafters in the warehouse. Everything failed and recently a marksman was sent in with orders to shoot her. Now BOAC must decide Bimbo's future. To airline have have had dozens of offers from people wanting to give her a home. Photo shows Bimbo laughs it all off after her capture last night
