Animals - Aquariums - Archeology - Insects - Fossils - Zoos

Dec. 10, 1970 - Hippopotamus baby in Munich's zoo Hellabrunn: Life here is so boring! First one is glad to be born and then just nothing happens. Once as welcome there was a press conference and once then no public relations any more for me. And i thought that i am something very special. One simply has to get tied, lazy and fat when one only swims together with mum in the water during the whole day. I have already the lock jaw because of all this yawing. If there were a photographer, he would have a marvelous photo of my interior but i don't see any'. The hippopotamus baby which opens here its mouth so very wide was born about 3 weeks ago in Munich's Zoo Hellbrunn
