Nov. 11, 1969 - Baby Elephant Lulu Weighs In: Today was weigh-in day for Lulu, the baby elephant at Chessington. Lulu was the star of a competition organised by Tyne Brand in which contestants had been asked to judge what Lulu's weight would be on this date. First prize in the competition is a sight-seeing safari in East Africa. Among the panel of judges was boxing champion Henry Cooper. There was a tie between two contestants - Mrs. E.G. Crooks, of Somerset, and Mrs. P. Carden, of London. Both their guesses was 6 cwt. 20 lbs. 3 ozs. The weighing of Lulu was held at the Post Office Depot in Esher.
