Sep. 09, 1971 - Square art launch party: There was a children's tea party at the Ian on the Park Hotel, Park Lane, today to launch a new learn, to draw toy called Square art, based on the squaring up principle used by artists to transfer a sketch on to canvas. Square Art subjects to draw range from farm and zoo animals to cars, trains and Walt Disney characters. Two 4 year old champanzees, Rosie and Bugsy, demonstrated Square art, helped by the children. Guests at the party were journalists and their children, and children of artists.
