Oct. 10, 1968 - hole-in-heart boy gets new dog.: Hole-in-heart boy Colin Tompkins, pictured yesterday with a Jack Russell Terrier puppy, which was given to him to replace his lost dog. Colin had been ill with worry since his pet Judy disappeared nine days ago. Yesterday Colin was taken eight miles to see Mrs. Veronica Tarr, of Bedfount Court, Stanwell, Middlesex, who gave him nine-week old puppy. Later at his home in Rockingham Close, Ucbrisge, Colin said: Colin was ill again last night, so we decided to do something to stop him pining. Mrs. Tarr said: I simply wanted ti help a sick child. The puppy was the only one of my dog's litter that has not been sold. The little boy's face was a picture when I gave it to him
