Mar. 03, 1971 - Dolphins Arrive At Festival Gardens.: Flipper, Buddy and Skipper, who will be this year's Star Attraction at the Festival Gardens, Battersea Park, arrived to take up their residence for the season today. They were accompanied by their trainer, 25-year-old Jean Tiebor. Not only has she trained them but she actively participated in catching them at Key West, off the coast of Florida, in January of this year. Jean Tiebor, finding life as a bank cashier rather quiet answered an advertisement in a Grimsby newspaper for someone to nurse a white whale. She got the job and since then has travelled all over the Continent where she has trained tigers, penquins and sea lions. She is also a keen stock car racer and parachute jumper, and speaks German, French, Hungarian, Italian and Russian The Dolphins will be appearing during the season starting April 9.
