Jul. 08, 1971 - New ?15, 000 home with colour TV for two Gorillas: A ?15, 000 luxury home complete with Colour Television has been built for two Gorillas. Their owner Miss Mollie Badham, admits that Joe and Bongo, man size lowland gorillas from West African are pampered. Since they were babies seven years ago, she has brought them up in her own home to forget their jungle background and enjoy the good life. And they have become hooked on colour TV but as Joe and Bongo have outgrown their weleane, They are new young adults and are too tough and boisterous to share the house-and Television with the humans. Miss Badham has built them this new home at the Tyr Zoo Parl, near Atherstone, Warwickshire, of which she is the director.
