Jul. 07, 1973 - Guard For Seal Men: An armed day and night guard was set up at their Lincolnshire base on Saturday by four licensed seal hunters and two scientists from the Government Sponsored Seal Research Unit. They are half-way through the Cull of 300 seal pups on Sandbanks in the Wash. They are guarding their base, a discussed Ministry of Defence huntsmen on the River Nene, at Sutton Bridge, Lincs, against demonstrators who have threatened to sabotage their boast and equipment.
