Oct. 13, 1972 - October 13th, 1972 Birds and Dogs at Audition Owners of talking birds and performing dogs converged on London Weekend's Station House, Wembley, headquarters today, in answer to a Times newspaper advert. They were auditioning in the hope of appearing on London Weekend's new Saturday evening programme Russell Harty Plus. Announcing the Joyleen Barraclough Award for Greatness Russell Harty said he was looking for the dog with the most outrageous, sensitive and cheeky personality and for the most loquacious and urbane talking bird.
