Jun. 11, 1975 - Unwrapping of 2, 000 years old Egyptian Mummy: After months of preperation, a team of experts yesterday began the un of the mummified remains of a girl aged about 15, who died 2, 000 years ago. The unwarpping took place at Manchester University Medical School and the mummy was takne from Manchester Museum's 17-strong collection. It is the frist time this centruy that a mummy has been unwrapped in this country. One theory is that the girl, who had several bone broken, had been stoned for becoming pregnant illegitimately. The girl had lost both legs Illegible Illegible and Illegible above the knee before her death.
