1976 - Three baby Bactrian camels on show for the first time at Whipsnade Zoo.: three Bactrian camels who were born on the 18th, 22nd, and 28th of March this year were on shew at the Whipsnade today in the new Asian exhibit. They have been named Shadrach, Meschach and Abednege, two males and a female. The mothers all came originally from Moscow Zoo in 1970. The newcomers make a total of nine Bactrain Camels now in the Asian Exhibit, they moved into their new home at the beginning of this year.Photo shows The three Bactrian camels out of the first time at Whipsnade Zoo today.
