Sep. 16, 1974 - September 16th, 1974 Giant Pandas Ching-ching and Chia-chia at the London Zoo The giant pandas Ching-Ching (female) and Chia-Chia (male), who arrived here on Saturday from Peking, are now settling in at the London Zoo. They are a gift to the British people from the Chinese Government as a token of friendship. The present of a pair of pandas was promised to Mr. Edward Heath when he visited China this year. Photo Shows: The two Giant pandas, Ching-Ching and Chia-Chia, appear to be little shy at first, at the London Zoo yesterday
