Oct. 14, 1974 - Swallows flown to Greece from Switzerland: About nine thousand frozen refugees arrived recently in Athens from Switzerland. They were swallows moving towards warmer climes - but on passing through Switzerland they became victims of the cold weather. They were collected in an operation by the Swiss people, and placed in cartons and flown out to warmer climates by Swissair and Air France. Photo shows the scene at Ellikinon Airport, in Athens from Switzerland, when they were quickly released into the warm Greek sunshine
