Oct. 10, 1977 - Two Russian Pelicans Released In St Jame's Park: Two young white pelicans presented, in September to St. Jame's Park by the Russian Government have completed their period of quarantine and were taken to the park today. They will join four other pelicans already in the park but at first will be confined to the pool on Duck island until they become accustomed to their new surroundings.
