1978 - Baby Margay at the London Zoo: Luke, A margay, was born on march 28th at the London Zoo and is being reared by his keeper, Brenden Murray aged 19 of the Charles Clare Pavyon for small mammals. Luke was taken from his mother when it was found that she could not look after him. The Margay is a small cat closely related to the ocelot. It is a Forest dweller ans is found in south and central America, . Head and Body length are 2 feet when fully grown and the length of tails is about 1 foot. Photo shows the baby Margay being held in the keeper's hand at the London Zoo today
