Feb. 02, 1978 - Iron Age Village: In March 1977 twelve men and women and three children left the 20th century and began to lives of Ancient Britons in the third Century BC at a secret location in the West of England. Their experiment has been televised and is living as Iron Age tribesmen has been televised and is shown on Thursday nights. Over the year they have learned to be almost completely self sufficient, producing their own food and practicing the ancient skills of pottery, weaving and metal work, For all this time they have had to manage with out the comforts of modern civilisation, but they all say that they are sorry to leave. Photo Shows The Iron Age Villagers, who leave their ancient home next month, drink their tea around an open fire inside the communal hall
