Jul. 16, 1979 - The Bionic Bird: A maribou stork sporting a plastic lower denture which was made by a local dentist, Mr. Tony Wocton, when the bird broke her beak at the Cotswold wildlife Park, Burford, Oxon. After taking an impression, Mr Wooton made the beak from toughened plastic used for false teeth and the stork is now eating fish again
