Jan. 16, 1991 - A Baby Sloth was born in Zurich:For the first time a baby sloth was born in a Swiss Zoo. the little baby was born in Zurich where its mother is looking well after it by carrying it on her tummy during the coming nine months. in general it is very difficult to keep two Toed sloths in captivity and there fore its rare to see sloth births in Zoos. in the average, only just eight babies get born in captivity per year on the whole world, one of them can be seen now in Zurich
