Mar. 03, 1981 - Chia Chia London's Giant Panda Meets His Air hostees Before Flying off to America: London Zoo's Giant Panda, Chia-Chia, met British Airways Stewardess, Jacqueline Walker, who gave him his flight briefing for his journey to America on Thursday, March 5th. Eight and a half year old Chia Chia flies out from London's Heathrow Airport for his assignment with ten year old Ling-Ling, Washington Zoo's Female Panda. He is travelling on BA's 747 freighter, which is the only Jumbo freighter in the country, to Kennedy Airport, New York, and from there to Washington Zoo by road.
