May 05, 1981 - London Zoo's Latest Baby - A Pudu - Tiny South American Deer: Poquito, London Zoo's latest baby was seen in public for the first time today. He is a tiny South American Deer-called a Pudu, which are found on the western side of South America especially in Chile. Born on 27th April, he stand 10 inches high and weighs about 2 lbs. They are rarely seen in zoos, it is believed that there are only about 35 of these animals in Captivity.
