Aug. 08, 1959 - SEA LION CREATES SCARE ON AUSTRALIAN BEACH. A sea lion snapped and snarled at people on BRONTE BEACH - Sydney, Australia recently. Baring its teeth it tried to savage a man who was trying to get it back into the water. Earlier the creature had been forced ashore by the gale force winds and heavy seas. It was found cut and exhausted on the beach by an attendant - who with others tried to get it back into the water - with lucky escapes from injury. Eventually the sea-lion went back into the water of its own accord - and swam out to sea.
